New Delhi: As Dhanush celebrates his 40th birthday, the makers of his upcoming film ‘Captain Miller’ released the teaser of the film. The Tamil film is directed by Arun Matheswaran and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films.

The makers posted the teaser on their social media handles with the caption, "Respect is Freedom! Here is the much awaited #CaptainMillerTeaser... December 15th 2023 in theatres.”

Dhanush, the two-time National Award-winning actor, also shared the teaser on Twitter. "'Captain Miller' teaser," he wrote in the caption.

Described as a period action-adventure movie, the film features Dhanush in the titular role of Miller aka Analeesan. The rest of the cast includes Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, John Kokken and Edward Sonnenblick of "RRR" fame.

The film will release on December 15.

Earlier, the actor had shared the film's first look and wrote, "Captain Miller first look Respect is freedom."

In the poster, Dhanush is seen in a bearded look and a man bun wearing clothes soaked in dirt holding a big machine gun in his hand. On all sides lay bodies of dead men while in the backdrop, we see army trucks with hundreds of soldiers. Specks of dust and raw material fly around as Dhanush stands with eyes closed in the middle of a battlefield.

Dhanush made his Hollywood debut last year with 'The Gray Man’, directed by filmmaker duo Anthony and Joe Russo. In India, his last big screen release was the Tamil film ‘Vaathi’.

Besides ‘Captain Miller’, the actor will be next seen in the Hindi film 'Tere Ishk Mein', which reunites him with filmmaker Aanand L Rai after ‘Raanjhanaa.’
