New Delhi: Dhanush fans brace yourselves. The Tamil superstar shared the first look poster of his upcoming film, 'Captain Miller'. Dhanush shared the first look poster on his official Instagram handle. Film critic and trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan also shared the first look poster on Twiter. Directed by Arun Matheswaran, the period film is set in the 30s and 40's India.


Sharing the first look poster on Instagram, Dhanush wrote, "Captain Miller first look Respect is freedom." In the poster, we see Dhanush in a bearded look and a man bun wearing clothes soaked in dirt holding a big machine gun in his hand. On all sides lay bodies of dead men while in the backdrop, we see army trucks with hundreds of soldiers. Specks of dust and raw material fly around as Dhanush stands with eyes closed in the middle of a battlefield.


 






'Captain Miller' also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Mohan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, John Kokken and Moor. The film is expected to hit theatres in 2023. 


GV Prakash Kumar has done the music of the film while Shreyaas Krishna will do the cinematography. 


The first look of 'Captain Miller' comes at a time when Aanand L Rai announced the sequel to the much-acclaimed 'Raanjhanaa'. Titled 'Tere Ishk Mein', Aanad L Rai shared a teaser of the upcoming film and wrote, "Kuch kahaniyan kisi purane dost jaisi mil jaati hain! Jo haath nahin milaati, seedhe aake gale lag jaati hain…10 saal pehle ek aisi hi kahani mili thi humein... Kundan ki kahani. Dost tha mera, par jee naa saka... uska mood nahi tha jeena ka! Ab 10 saal baad phir ek kissa aaya hai; Kundan aur ye ladka ek se hi hain, bus iska mood duniya phoonk dene ka hai! Sirf aapke liye…’Tere Ishk Mein’"
