With 72.65 percent occupancy during the night shows, the Malayalam film received the highest turnout. After that, 51 percent of seats were occupied for evening performances, and 36.83 and 26.92 percent of seats were occupied for afternoon and morning acts, respectively. Compared to Mammootty's latest release, the highly regarded movie 'Kaathal - The Core’, ‘Bramayugam’ is performing far better. On its second day, ‘Kaathal’ made Rs 1.25 crore in revenue.

The first weekend will act as a benchmark for the movie to determine whether the buzz lasts until the first Monday of the release. Black & white period horror from director Rahul Sadasivan is another factor contributing to the film's hype. Both reviews from reviewers and viewers have been positive for the movie.

Mammootty On Bramayugam Being Shot In Black-White

Mammootty explained why the film was shot in black and white during a press conference in the United Arab Emirates. He said, “It unfolds in a period prior to cinema’s invention. The new generation may not have experienced black and white to the same extent in films, and this film is apt for such experimentation. I am not saying we don’t have black and white films anymore,” he said, also citing the Oscar-winning film ‘The Artist’.

Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and Manikandan R Achari are also featured in prominent parts in Bramayugam. YNOT Studios and Night Shift Studios are the joint producers of the movie.

‘Bramayugam’ is another one of Mammootty’s experimental films amid the recent template of varied films the Malayali superstar has been choosing to do.
