New Delhi: Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are the new parents in tinsel town. The popular celebrity couple welcomed a baby boy on August 20 and their family members just can't keep calm on the new addition to the Kapoor-Ahuja family.

Neetu Kapoor, who was recently seen opposite Anil Kapoor in Karan Johar's family drama 'JugJugg Jeeyo' was the first one to congratulate the child's maternal grandparents Anil and his wife Sunita Kapoor through an Instagram story.

Sonam also took to her Instagram and shared a post, announcing the good news. The post read as, "On 28.02.2022, we welcomed our baby boy with bowed heads and open hearts. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family, who have supported us on this journey. Its only the beginning but we know our lives are forever changed. Sonam and Anand."

Sonam's sister and designer-producer Rhea Kapoor also shared an Instagram story, expressing the family's happiness on welcoming the baby boy. Rhea's announcement reads as, "We are delighted to announce on 20th of August 2022, the arrival of the newest member of our family. Sonam and Anand have been blessed with a healthy baby boy and we couldn't be more elated. Our hearts are bursting with pride and love for the new parents and their beautiful angel.

Doting grandparents Harish and Priya, Anil and Sunita. Excited aunties and uncles Rhea and Karan, Anant and Harshvardhan."

Actress Kareena Kapoor, who is a close friend of Rhea and featured alongside Sonam in the film 'Veere Di Wedding', shared a picture of the new parents Sonam and Anand on her Instagram story as she congratulated the couple.

As soon as Sonam shared the announcement on Instagram, other celebs filled the comments section of the post with congratulatory messages. Actress Dia Mirza extended her wishes to the couple and wrote, "Congratulations and all our love and blessings to the little one ❤️🐯"
