New Delhi: Popular Tollywood singer Sunitha Upadrashta got engaged to Ram on Monday morning in the presence of family members. The wedding dates are yet to be finalised reportedly. There have been rumours doing the rounds about her second marriage for quite a long time which she earlier denied. However, on Monday (December 7, 2020), the singer confirmed the news of her engagement with Ram on her social media and shred some moments from her intimate engagement ceremony. Sharing the pictures, Sunitha wrote, “Like every mother, I dream of settling my children down well. At the same time I am blessed with wonderful and thoughtful children and parents who always want to see me well settled in life.... the moment has finally come... Ram has entered my life as a caring friend and a wonderful partner.. we both are delighted to enter into wedlock very soon. Thanks to all my well wishers who understand that I keep my life very private. Please support and be with me as you always do”.

Ram is reportedly a senior executive from a Telugu digital media house. Sunitha earlier got married at the age of 19 to Kiran Kumar Goparaju with whom she has two children – Aakash Gopuraju and Shreya Gopuraju. Sunitha and Kiran later got divorced. The singer started her career at the young age of 17. Her commercial singing career began in the year 1995 with the Telugu movie ‘Gulabi’. Other than being a playback singer, she is also an anchor, dubbing artist and actress in the Telugu film industry. She has been the recipient of a National Award from All India Radio under light music category.
