Mumbai: Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor died on Thursday morning in Mumbai at 8.45 am after a two-year-long battle with leukemia. He was admitted in Shri HN Reliance Foundation hospital on Wednesday.

Waking up to such devastating news, Twitter and social media got flooded with the messages of tributes paid to the very talented actor.

Sanjay Dutt too penned a very heartfelt note where he expressed his relationship with the late actor.

Sanjay Dutt confessed that Rishi Kapoor was always an inspiration in life as well as in a career. Dutt said he taught me to live life to the fullest and to face life even when I was going through my low days.

Dutt wrote that it was an honor to work with you and you were always there to guide me.

Reminiscing about the last encounter with the late actor, Sanjay Dutt wrote, “The last time I met you at home a few months back for dinner, you were still so concerned about me. You have always cared for me. Today is the saddest day for me because I have lost a family member, a friend, a brother and a person who showed me to live life with a smile no matter what. I will miss you Chintu sir. May God bless you and may you always be happy in heaven. I love you Chintu sir. Always will.”
