New Delhi: On August 20, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja welcomed their first child – a baby boy. The news was first shared by Neetu Kapoor on her Instagram account who congratulated the new grandparents, Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor.
On Monday, Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor shared a series of photos of the actor’s son. Rhea posted the photos clicked at the hospital when she and her mother Sunita Kapoor went to visit the baby. Rhea hid the face of the baby by adding emojis to it. The caption to her post read, "Rhea masi is not ok. The cuteness is too much. The moment is unreal. I love you @sonamkapoor the bravest mommy and @anandahuja the most loving dad. Special mention new nani @kapoor.sunita #mynephew #everydayphenomenal (sic)."
In the pictures, Rhea and her mom are seen dressed in black and sporting masks as they look at the new member of their family. Rhea is seen getting all emotional as she sees her nephew. The child was wrapped in a blue cloth while a nurse held him.
Soon after Sonam and Anand made the announcement of being parents through their social media accounts, fashion magazine Vogue unveiled its latest cover featuring pregnant Sonam Kapoor posing in an unbuttoned shirt. Sonam is seen caressing her baby bump in the picture as she smiles for the camera. The actress also opened up about how her life will change after baby.
Sonam told Vogue, “Priorities do change and I think that the child will become mine. The truth of the matter is that they didn’t choose to come into this world. You decided to bring them here, so it’s a very selfish decision.”
Sonam also revealed about pregnancy after 30s. She told Vogue, “Everyone’s so tense about women who get pregnant after 31 or 32. They tell you don’t do this, don’t do that, don’t get gestational diabetes or pre-eclampsia. I was like, “Wait, hang on, I still feel very young. I’ve got my dad’s genes. It’ll be fine.”
