One of the highly anticipated movie of this year Chehre, starring Emraan Hashmi & Amitabh Bachchan has been quite in news off-lately, mostly because of Rhea's disappearance from the posters of the film, leading to speculations of her being ousted from the project.

Recently Rhea featured in the trailer confirming her presence in the movie.

Chehre producer Anand Pandit says the team steered clear of mentioning Rhea Chakraborty’s name in the upcoming film until its trailer launch as they wanted to give the actor some space from public scrutiny. The omission of Chakraborty’s name from the cast had raised some eyebrows when the film’s release date was announced earlier this year, but Pandit said it was not because they were worried about any backlash.

When the film’s release date was revealed in February, the makers had avoided naming Chakraborty in the promotional materials, with the actor not even being tagged by any of the cast members during the announcement.

“I wasn’t worried about backlash at all, I wanted to give space to her. The poor girl has gone through so much turmoil in her life. I didn’t want to give it back to her, by adding her name,” Pandit told .

The mystery thriller drama is directed by Rumy Jafry, and besides Rhea, Amitabh and Emraan, the film also features Krystle D'Souza, Annu Kapoor, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Raghubir Yadav, and Siddhanth Kapoor in pivotal roles.

Chehre marks Rhea's return after the legal drama she was embroiled in over her late boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput's untimely death. Rhea was accused by Sushant Singh Rajput's family of abetting his suicide. Though she denied the accusations, the actress had to spend nearly a month in jail on drug-related charges last year. She was later released on bail.
