Actress and reality show participant Rakhi Sawant's mother, Jaya Sawant passed away on Saturday evening. ETimes TV reported that Rakhi Sawant herself confirmed the news, and said that the cause of death of Jaya was a multi-organ failure and she was very critical. She added that the cancer had got to the kidneys and lungs. In the telephonic conversation, she reportedly said "Maa ab nahi rahi."
She started weeping inconsolably after saying that.
Her mother was reportedly admitted to Citicare hospital in Juhu and she died while undergoing treatment. Rakhi Sawant was by her mother's side when she breathed her last.
Rakhi's mother had been suffering from cancer for approximately three years before she took her last breath.
For a while, Rakhi had been posting videos of her mother from the hospital which showed her being admitted and undergoing treatment. She had urged her fans to pray for a quick recovery for her mother. However, she could not survive.

Rakhi frequently posted on social media her mother's light hearted moments. She addressed her mother's health in interviews with the media as well. She also mentioned several times how Salman Khan always offered help and asked about her ailing mother.
Rakhi said in a video posted on her Instagram page that her mother's protracted fight with a tumour was a sad point in her life. While speaking to the reporters, she became teary-eyed. "I am heartbroken beyond expression. I hope no one suffers so much," said Rakhi in that video.

The most recent season of Bigg Boss Marathi 4 had Rakhi as one of the finalists. She recently wed Adil Khan Durrani, a businessman from Mysore.
