'Superstar' Rajinikanth, who was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai, was discharged from the hospital on Thursday night at 11 PM. The actor had been admitted on September 30 due to a swelling in the main blood vessel leading from his heart.


Actor Rajinikanth's condition was reportedly treated using a non-surgical, transcatheter method.


 






 


In an update shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Apollo Hospitals assured fans that Rajinikanth’s heart is "as strong as his spirit" and that he is recovering well. “Rajinikanth is recovering well after a heart procedure and will be home soon!” read the hospital's post, accompanied by heart and star emojis.


A medical bulletin released on October 1 confirmed the details of Rajinikanth’s treatment noting that the actor was stable and responding well to the procedure. "He should be home in two days," Apollo Hospital said.


According to the bulletin, Apollo Hospitals said, "Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospitals on 30th September. He had a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart which was treated by a non-surgical, transcatheter method...Rajinikanth is stable and is doing well. He should be home in two days: Apollo Hospital, Chennai." 


During this time, Rajinikanth's younger daughter, Soundarya Rajinikanth, was spotted visiting the Vadivudaiamman temple in Chennai, where she prayed for her father’s speedy recovery. The actor's health update prompted an outpouring of support from fans, celebrities, and political leaders alike.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly reached out to Rajinikanth's wife, Latha Rajinikanth, to personally inquire about the actor’s condition and convey his wishes for a swift recovery.
