New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra is in the news these days for her upcoming film 'The Matrix Resurrections'. Much to her fans' rejoicement, a Korean poster of the film revealed the character that the actress would play in the Keanu Reeves starrer film. According to the caption, Priyanka would play the role of 'Sati' in the fourth installment of 'The Matrix' series.

The caption written in the local language, used the hashtag 'Sati' for the name of Priyanka's character. Fans had been anticipating her role as 'Sati' after a glimpse of her character was given with the Alice in Wonderland subtext in the trailer. Her role as the new 'Oracle' was also speculated.In Matrix lore, Sati had been put under the Oracle's care in the third movie. The Oracle who protected 'Sati' after she was smuggled into 'The Matrix, believed that the child would someday have a large impact on the future of both humans and the Machines.
Priyanka plays the grown-up version of 'Sati' that originally featured as a child in 'The Matrix Revolutions' in 2003.
