New Delhi: On Swara Bhasker's "Bhai" tweet from a month ago, Fahad Ahmad, a member of the Samajwadi Party and Swara Bhasker's husband, responded. When Swara Bhasker announced her engagement to Fahad Ahmad, a tweet in which she referred to Fahad as "bhai" resurfaced, prompting many to wonder how she could marry someone she referred to as "brother." Jokingly, Fahad said that at least the Sanghis recognise the possibility of blood ties between Hindus and Muslims.

Swara tweeted "Bhai ka confidence barkarar rahe" to Fahad to wish him a happy birthday on February 2nd.

Fahad used Twitter to poke fun at the haters who attacked the actress because she once referred to him as "bhai" in a tweet. Fahad replied to everyone with a snarky tweet, in which he said, "Jokes a part संघियों ने यह तो माना हिन्दू-मुस्लिम भाई बहन हो सकते है बस यह और मान लो पति पत्नी मज़ाक़ भी कर सकते है…… (The rebels all agreed that Hindus and Muslims can be brothers and sisters. Now, you need to accept that husbands and wives can also joke.)"

Swara and Fahad met in 2020 and have since then been together. Fahad is currently the President of Samajwadi Party's Yuvjan wing in Maharashtra. The couple recently hosted an intimate engagement party in Mumbai. It was attended by their close friends and family members only. Celebrities such as Sonam Kapoor, Divya Dutta, designer Sandeep Khosla were also spotted.

Under the Special Marriage Act, Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad tied the knot in a court ceremony last month. The two will get married in Delhi in March. The actress announced the news on her social media sites with photos and a heartfelt message of gratitude for the unique wedding ceremony.
