New Delhi: Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra and AAP MP Raghav Chadha got engaged on May 13 in Delhi. Parineeti’s cousin Priyanka Chopra flew down from the USA for a day to attend the engagement ceremony. Priyanka also shared pictures from the ceremony and congratulated them on Instagram. She wrote, “Congratulations Tisha and Raghav... Cannot wait for the wedding! So happy for you both and the families so fun to catch up with the fam!” 
 
Parineeti dropped a comment on the post by Priyanka, who is fondly called as 'Mimi' by her family and asked her to prepare for "bridesmaid duties", cryptically hinting at her impending wedding. 




 
Parineeti wrote: "Mimi didii - bridesmaid's duties coming upppp!" 
 
Parineeti and Raghav's engagement was an intimate ceremony. While Parineeti wore a custom-made ivory blush pearl ensemble by Manish Malhotra, Raghav wore achkan designed by fashion designer Pawan Sachdeva. Priyanka was seen in a neon yellow ruffled saree.  


On Monday, the couple shared a common gratitude note on social media. They wrote, "Raghav and I are overwhelmed with the love and abundance of positivity we have received over the past few weeks, especially on our engagement. We both come from different worlds and it's amazing to know that our worlds also unite with our union. We have gained a bigger family than we could have ever imagined. We are so touched by everything we have read/seen, and we cannot thank you all enough. A special shout-out to our amazing friends in the media. Thank you for being there throughout the day and cheering for us." 






Parineeti's mother Reena Chopra also wrote an emotional note for her daughter on Instagram. She shared an engagement picture of Parineeti and Raghav and wrote: "There are reasons in your life that make you believe all over again and all the time that there is a God up there This is one of them ....#trulyblessed#thankyougod I wish to thank all of you who have reached out and poured your blessings and wishes for them." 






The engagement was also attended by politicians, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, former finance minister P Chidambaram and Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray.
