Mumbai: Actor Pankaj Tripathi, who is one of the most talented artists in the Hindi film industry, has reportedly pledged to support the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The ‘Mirzapur’ actor told IANS, “The authorities from NCB Patna reached out to me for this cause, and anything that is associated with Bihar and in public concerns, I personally have interest to lend my support for such campaigns and awareness creation drives.”

Pankaj Tripathi further said that it is his social responsibility as an actor to initiate an awareness campaign against drugs so that it can reach out to a large number of people. The ‘Ludo’ actor was quoted saying by the agency, “Cinema is one of the favourite mediums of the youth, and as an actor if we initiate any awareness campaign it may reach out to maximum people, creating more impact. It's a social responsibility for me as an actor and as a citizen to fulfil my duty as much as I can.”
Pankaj Tripathi started his Bollywood career with an uncredited role in the 2004 movie ‘Run’. He then featured in other movies ‘Omkara’, ‘Shaurya’, ‘Raavan’, ‘Agneepath’, ‘Gunday’, ‘Masaan’ to name a few. His breakthrough came when he featured in Anurag Kashyap’s film series ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ where he portrayed the role of an antagonist.
There was no turning back for Pankaj Tripathi ever since then as he went on to star in several other movies and shows including ‘Mirzapur’, ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, ‘Newton’, ‘Stree’, ‘Gurgaon’, ‘Ludo’ and many more.
One of the most prolific actors of Bollywood, Pankaj Tripathi will be next seen featuring in Ranveer Singh’s ‘83’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bachchan Pandey’.
