'Nikah In Dramas Valid In Real Life': Fans Wish Fawad-Mahira On Being 'Married' As Pakistani Religious Scholar's Remarks Go Viral
A religious scholar says that two actors' marriage would be considered valid in real life if they performed a nikah scene in a drama.
New Delhi: A religious scholar sends social media into a frenzy after he deemed on-screen Nikah to be legitimate in real life. After the scholar's statement on a television show that two actors' marriage would be considered valid in real life if they performed a nikah scene in a drama, a heated debate broke out.
Nikah in dramas valid in real life
Celebrities in the film and television industry and social media influencers have expressed their views on this statement, which has sparked a great deal of controversy. While some people are making hilarious remarks on the viral video, others are posing serious questions over the statement.
Model and actor Nadia Hussain expressed her disagreement with the views on Instagram. She stressed that nikahs, or Islamic marriages, are completely fictionalised in television dramas. Also, she drew attention to the fact that these scenes involve fake names, witnesses, and signatures, saying that this portrayal is not real.

So, according to these 'scholars', almost all actors in #Pakistan have married several times as they have acted in nikah scenes in TV shows. 1/2 @Taimur_Laal @mehrubawan pic.twitter.com/Q4tNIsIRzP
Even in dramas acting nikah scenes means they are married. 🤣🤣🤷♀️ Imagine these jahils go around and expound religion to the average layman. Imagine what else they get wrong!! 🙄🙄 https://t.co/O1Y7KRQR7q

🌙 Performing a Nikkah ceremony on TV doesn't mean actors are married in real life. Nikkah requires legal procedures for recognition.
