New Delhi: Cricketers Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer were guests on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show's second episode. Finally, Rohit Sharma discussed his feelings about Australia's World Cup 2023 loss in November of last year in this episode. While complimenting the Australian team on their excellent performance in that match, Rohit stated that there was a "good momentum" within the team.

The Indian team performed admirably throughout the World Cup, according to Kapil Sharma throughout the episode, but inexplicably lost the final game. He enquired about Rohit's state of mind at the time.

Rohit Sharma on World Cup Loss

“Yeh kehna bada muskil he kyuki match ke pehle hum do din Ahmedabad mein the, hum practice kiye. Ek achcha momentum team ka bana hua tha. Bolte hain jaise ki autopilot mein team chal rahi thi (It’s difficult to say as we were in Ahmedabad before the match. We practisd and there was a good momentum in the team. Team was almost on autopilot),” Rohit Sharma shared in response.

“Jab final match start hua… humne shuruat achchi ki. I think Shubman Gill jaldi out ho gaya tha. But uske baad Virat [Kohli] aur mera thoda saa ek partnership ho gaya tha. Toh confidence tha ki hum achcha score khada kar sakenge. Par final mein jab ap khelte ho, bade matches mein… run laga doge board pe toh samne waalo ke upar pressure hogi. Chahe ho 100 run kyu na ho! Kyuki unko banana he woh run. Aur pressure mein koi bhi team fisal sakti hein! But unhone achcha cricket khela, Australia ne… unka bada partnership bhi ho agya tha” ( We performed effectively in the opening moments of the championship match. Shubman Gill was out rather quickly, I believe. Then, I got along well with Virat Kohli in a partnership. We therefore had faith in our ability to succeed. But there's always pressure in these big games  even when the board indicates 100 runs. Because they are aware that they must score. Any squad may falter under that kind of pressure. However, the Australian squad performed admirably and had strong chemistry). He added.

According to Archana Puran Singh, the Indian team won their hearts even though they lost that game. There was a standing ovation from the entire audience. Rohit responded by saying he was startled by the fans' reaction following their World Cup loss. He revealed that, despite his expectation that the fans would be upset, they have been incredibly caring and supportive.
