Taaza Khabar Season 2 review: The phrase 'circumstances make people bad' is a myth; people can be inherently bad. This line from 'Taja Khabar Season 2' raises questions about whether to blame the web series or the actors for its quality. But in this case, both the actors and the series are impressive, with the actors, especially Bhuvan Bam, stealing the show and overshadowing the content.

Plot of Taaza Khabar Season 2

The story follows Vasant Gawde (played by Bhuvan Bam), who was blessed in Season 1 with the ability to receive news ahead of time, making him rich through betting on matches. However, while he profited, others, like the mafia don Yusuf (Javed Jaffrey), suffered losses. Now, Vasant owes Yusuf a staggering 1000 crores. Will he be able to repay this debt? Has his blessing turned into a curse? To find out, you’ll need to watch the six gripping episodes of Taaza Khabar Season 2 on Hotstar.

How is Taaza Khabar Season 2?

Taaza Khabar Season 2 is an entertaining watch. Bhuvan Bam is the heart of the series, and his massive fan following is sure to boost its popularity. Through this show, Bhuvan proves that content creators can also be great actors. However, this might not apply to all creators. The series incorporates all the elements you would find in a typical Hindi movie, spread across six episodes, each about 35 minutes long. The story progresses at a decent pace, though the occasional love story subplot feels unnecessary and could have been trimmed. The scenes between Bhuvan and Javed Jaffrey are the highlight of the series, while Bhuvan's emotional moments with his on-screen parents tug at the heartstrings. Overall, the series is worth watching, though the first season was slightly better due to its fresh concept. Despite that, Season 2 still holds up as a strong sequel.

Acting

As an actor, Bhuvan Bam showcases multiple facets of his character – a son, a lover, a friend, and a man drunk on wealth. In every aspect, he delivers. His acting has noticeably improved, and his hard work is evident. There’s no unnecessary heroism; the action sequences are balanced and just enough. Javed Jaffrey adds a new dimension to the show with his portrayal of the villain. His scenes with Bhuvan are brilliant. Shriya Pilgaonkar also performs her role with confidence, hinting at her untapped potential. Deven Bhojani and Prathamesh Parab do a commendable job, while Shilpa Shukla leaves a strong impression. The supporting cast has also delivered solid performances.

Direction

Himank Gaur’s direction is decent, but the series could have been tighter. The first season had a shock value that is somewhat missing here. While the actors are excellent, they could have been utilized more effectively to elevate the show further.

If you’re a fan of Bhuvan Bam, 'Taaza Khabar Season 2' is a must-watch.
