Sonakshi Sinha Roasts Heeramandi Co-star Sharmin Segal, Latter Says 'Aukaat Gira Di' In Viral Video

Heeramandi series: The star cast of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Heeramandi’ showed up as guests in a 'mushaira’, hosted by stand-up comedian Munawa Faruqui. Aditi Rao Hyadri, Manisha Koirala, Sharmin Segal, Sonakshi Sinha, and Sanjeeda Shaikh indulged in a roasting session on the show.

Actor Sharmin Segal, the niece of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the director of 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, has been facing backlash from some fans for her "poor performance" in the Netflix series.

Now, Sonakshi Sinha, who portrays the role of Fareedan in the series, can be seen roasting Sharmin during the mushaira in a viral video. In the clip, Sonakshi claims that her co-star did not come prepared for the Heeramandi set.

In the video that has surfaced on Reddit, Sonakshi targets Sharmin and says, “Sharmin wanted to wrap the set early every day. She went to bed early every night because the next day she had to go to school too.” 

She adds, “The number of Gen Z words that Sharmin memorises in a day, I wish some day, she would also memorise her dialogues before coming to the set.” 

After Sonakshi, Sharmin teases her for being "jaali" in light of her on-screen character. 

Sharmin says, “Sanjeeda Heeramandi main Waheeda bani hain, is baat pe ek sher arz karna chahti hoon. Waheeda ke naseeb main batua hai khaali, Fareedan (Sonakshi’s character) se kya dosti karogi voh khud hai jaali (fraud)? Choti behen hoke dushman ke saath haath mila liya. Yeh karke, apni khud ki aukaat gira di.”
