Shraddha Kapoor's association with the demi-fine jewellery brand Palmonas has been making waves ever since its Shark Tank pitch teaser went live. Founded by Pallavi Mohadikar and Dr. Amol Patwari in 2022, the brand has been changing India's jewellery landscape and was recently seen on 'Shark Tank India Season 4'. During their appearance, the founders impressed the sharks with their vision, and were upfront in the face of tough questions. When a jovial Aman Gupta asked the founders where Shraddha was, they stated that the latter had convinced Shraddha to not come on the show as this was not her 'expertise'.
Palmonas pitch
During the same pitch, it was also revealed that Shraddha Kapoor owns about 21% equity in the brand. After intense grilling sessions from the sharks, Vineeta and Namita seemed to be in love with the designs. When Vineeta asked how they got Shraddha on board, Pallavi shared an interesting story behind the collaboration.
How Shraddha Kapoor came onboard Palmonas
"We spotted Shraddha wearing our brand and she had even commented. I checked the customer list and Shraddha had ordered in the name of S Kapoor. I made a reel with the details and tagged her. She connected with us and appreciated our jewellery. I was 8.5 months pregnant when I met her and things further happened naturally. I had manifested this deal with her and it happened,” Pallavi recalled during the pitch.
Why Namita Thapar is the ‘Asli Shark’
Namita Thapar was quite impressed with Pallavi and made her an offer of Rs. 1.26 cr at 1% quity with royalty of 1% sale recouped. While sharks tried to get royalty deals with the pitchers, they refused to budge. After several negotiations, Namita made a change to her royalty percentage of 0.5% and sealed the deal. Aman and Ritesh were impressed with Namita's negotiation skills and called her the 'Asli shark’.
