New Delhi: 'Made in Heaven' season 2 succeeded in captivating the viewers just like the first installment of the show did. For an array of reasons, some of its episodes garnered greater attention than others. Recently, a lot of fans have been wondering if the Episode 4 series is based on the fictional scenario of former partners Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.

The show's creators, Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, firmly refuted the rumour in an interview with Mid-Day.

“Pulkit is really fun. He's a really good actor and he's great fun to work with. I directed the episode in Season 1 with him, and I had a blast. People really liked him in the show. For a lot of shows, there are recurring characters. So when we were writing, we thought we should get him back and get him married. We weren't really thinking of Salman and Katrina (smiles). But you are, and I guess that's how art works,” Zoya said in the interview.

“You can interpret it how you like,” Reema added.

Pulkit Samrat reprises his Season 1 role as Bollywood superstar Sarfaraz Khan in that episode, which was again directed by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, while Elnaaz Norouzi plays Sarfaraz Khan's wife Leila.

Sarfaraz Khan and Leila tie the knot in a destination wedding in the episode that was filmed in France. Leila, an Iranian actor, has never appeared in a film with Sarfaraz, but following their wedding, the two are expected to present a new one, helmed by Anurag Kashyap. Sarfaraz, however, tries to persuade Anurag to replace Leila with another star.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, who have appeared in numerous films together, dated for a while. Eventually, the couple broke up.  Since his debut in 1989, Salman has been a superstar. Katrina has risen to become one of the highest paid actors in the industry.

On the work front, 'Tiger 3', the third installment of spy thriller director Manish Sharma's series, would have Salman and Katrina reprising their respective roles as Tiger and Zoya.
