In a long heartfelt note, Karan Johar praised ‘Bandish Bandits season 2’, describing it as "Soup for the Soul" and extending his congratulations to the entire cast and crew.
The filmmaker praised ‘Bandish Bandits’ for their fresh take on the age-old conflict between classical Indian music and modern styles like hip-hop and K-pop. By calling it "a gharana of love, anguish, and tradition," he revealed the profound emotional and intellectual resonance he had when seeing the performance.
He wrote, "I watched it with a thumping feeling in my heart … it made me ponder and admire in equal measure … please don’t miss this musical melange of mohabbat … it will make you fall in love like I did… a few narrative bumps aside this series breaks the clutter so gorgeously … congratulations to the entire team that have woven this magic!"
