Bigg Boss OTT 2 Highlights: Elvish Yadav Emerges As Week 8 'Boss Meter' Winner Ahead Of The Finale
‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’ is only a few days from the finale. In the recent developments over the last week, Avinash Sachdev and Jiya Shankar were eliminated.
The match-up between Elvish Yadav and Abhishek Malhan has brought the house down, though Elvish has emerged as the winner of week eight, breaking the Boss meter. Both the contestants have performed very well so far, but this time, it was Elvish’s victory.
Bigg Boss OTT 2 grand finale is on August 14 (Monday). Pooja Bhatt, Abhishek Malhan, Elvish Yadav, Manisha Rani and Bebika Dhurve are the five finalists. Avinash Sachdev, who was eliminated from the house last week, recently told media that he is rooting for Pooja Bhatt and Elvish Yadav to win the game.
Elvish Yadav has a huge fan base, The YouTuber saw a crowd of some 1 lakh people on ground in Delhi, some on their cars and bikes create a traffic jam to suport him. This car rally was announced by fans for Elvish to root for the wild card contestant as Bigg Boss OTT 2 approached finale. In a video that has been doing the rounds on social media, we see police some to the streets to control the crowd.
This is the second time such a gathering has happened for a Bigg Boss contestant. Earlier, MC Stan and Shiv Thakare's fans had come out in support of them during their 'Bigg Boss 16' stint.
Jiya Shankar was evicted from the Bigg Boss house recently. On 'Bigg Boss OTT 2', Jiya was heard saying, "No, we haven't spoken to each other. I don't even know where he is, what does he look like, or have heard his voice. I haven't spoken to him in the last 20 years and there is no contact. He has another daughter from his second marriage. He has a wife and a daughter. He has moved on in life. Why will he bother about us now?"
Sharing that her father was quite protective, Jiya said, "Sometimes when an elderly person says something to me and I'm unable to express or react I feel his absence. When I was a kid and if anyone would ever say something to me, I would run to my father and complain and he would take a stand for me. He was very protective towards me. Whenever I feel unsafe or if I'm not able to give it back to someone, I miss him a lot."
In the latest episode, we see Pooja Bhatt clarify a misunderstanding with Abhishek Malhan and also open up a little more about her financial struggles. When Abhishek said that he did not like when she called them 'chote log', Pooja clarified that by 'choti soch', she meant that people with narrow minded thinking. She also said that if she had meant position then she would have been the lowest of all.
Pooja Bhatt reminded Abhishek of the time her father Mahesh Bhatt had come to the 'Bigg Boss' house and shared that he only had Rs. 1200 when she was born. Talking about her financial struggles, Pooja said there was a time when she only had Rs. 4000 in her bank account.
Jiya Shankar was evicted mid week ahead of Bigg Boss OTT 2 finale.Speaking about Abhishek Malhan and Elvish Yadav, Jiya shared that she wanted Abhishek to win 'dil se'( from the heart).
Sharing that all the flirting was only casual, Jiya Shankar added, "I definitely like him a lot. Ham flirt karte the, basically masti karte the.....socha nahi tha sirf wo mera eklota dost reh jayega."
Jiya clarified that none of the flirting was serious and everything was just masti.
In an new update from the Bigg Boss house, Abhishek Malhan says that what matters is that even if he does not win, he will lend his full supoort to Elvish and Manisha. Abhishek and Bebika in conversation spoke about the fact that if people geninely think he deserves to win, he should be the winner. But if he does not win, he will have no negative feelings about his friends but there will always be that thought at the back of his mind that 'he deserved to win'.
Further in the conversation, Abhishek telles Bebika that even if he does not win and the janta(audience) thinks he deserved to win, that is more of a victory for him.
In the latest episode, Elvish Yadav and Abhishek Malhan are having quite some differences spoken about in open now that the show inches towards the finale. Elvish and Abhishek got into a bit of an argument because Elvish vented it to Pooja that he felt bad about Abhishek saying that he would not consider Elvish a winner considering he was a wild card entry.
Elvish even confronted Abhishek about the same who stayed true to his words and said that he himself has had a longer journey on the show and also feels Elvish does not put out a lot of his opinions even if he strongly feels about something. To this Elvish clarified that he's not the type of person to keep giving opinions if not needed.
