India's first-ever web series on Adi Shankaracharya is gearing up for its highly anticipated release, marking a significant milestone in digital content. Presented by The Art of Living and Sri Sri Publication Trust, the series is produced by ONM Multimedia and written and directed by Onkar Nath Mishra. This groundbreaking project will offer a cinematic portrayal of the life and contributions of Shri Aadi Shankaracharya, who reestablished Sanatan Dharma and united India in the 8th century.

The first season, consisting of 10 episodes, focuses on the early life of Shri Aadi Shankaracharya. Filmed across stunning locations in India, the series showcases elaborate sets, state-of-the-art VFX, and a compelling narrative. It promises to engage audiences with its detailed recreations, grand visuals, and impactful performances. Season 1 centers on his childhood, depicting how an eight-year-old boy, born in turbulent times, renounced worldly life and embarked on a journey that would eventually unite India politically, spiritually, and culturally.

The show features a talented ensemble cast, with Arnav Khanijo portraying the young Shankaracharya, alongside veterans like Gagan Malik, Sandip Mohan, and Yogesh Mahajan. Director Onkar Nath Mishra shared, "The world is suffering today from religious fanaticism, terrorism, communalism, casteism, opportunism, division, deceit, lack of faith, and various sinister designs. Shri Shankar’s philosophy is the answer to all these problems that confront humanity today. This series aims to connect today’s youth with our greatest national hero, whose ideology remains relevant in modern times."

Mishra also expressed his excitement about the second season, which delves deeper into Shri Aadi Shankaracharya’s later life, and has already completed filming. Manish Wadhwa, known for his role as the antagonist in 'Gadar 2', portrays Aadi Shankaracharya’s Guru in season 2.

At a time when India was divided into over 300 states with 72 religious sects, Shri Aadi Shankaracharya emerged as a unifying force. In his brief 32 years of life, through his profound knowledge and philosophy of Advaita (oneness), he united all the sects and the fragmented states, establishing a culture of peace, love, and non-violence. His influence ensured that India remained protected from invaders for the next 200 years. Described as a charismatic spiritual, philosophical, political, and cultural leader, Aadi Shankaracharya single-handedly reshaped India.

With its grand scale, historical significance, and deep philosophical themes, the series on Shri Aadi Shankaracharya is set to be a landmark in Indian digital entertainment, appealing to both devotees and history enthusiasts.
