New Delhi: Nigerian singer Rema, who is best known for the viral song 'Calm Down', will be a guest on the comedy talk show 'The Kapil Sharma Show'.

According to IANS, the same will be filmed on Thursday with Kapil Sharma as the show's host. Rema is only appearing on one Indian TV show while on tour across the country. During this season, he is the first foreign guest to grace the show. Bret Lee and Jackie Chan have both appeared on the show as international guests.

Earlier, Nora Fatehi, an actor and dancer, joined Rema during a concert and pushed him to dance to her song, 'Dance Meri Rani'. Rema made an effort to precisely imitate her as she carried out the song's signature dance moves.

Last week, the artist was seen flying into Mumbai for his 'Rema Calm Down' India Tour.

The 23-year-old performer was welcomed in grand Maharashtrian style at the airport. He arrived at Mumbai airport and went straight to his hotel where he was greeted with dhol, bhangra, dandiya, and a tikka.

Rema stated in an interview with IANS that he hopes to work with Indian artists like well-known rapper Badshah and Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman.

"I look forward to collaborating with Badshah and A.R. Rahman. These are my two favourites right now but yes, I would love to explore some new opportunities here," Rema said.

The 23-year-old music sensation revealed in 2021 that he would be dubbing his style "Afrorave," a subgenre of Afrobeats with influences of Arabian and Indian music. Rema, whose real name is Divine Ikubor, became famous around the world with his 2022 hit song 'Calm Down', whose remix featured Selena Gomez and peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100.
