New Delhi: After Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas in 2018, his Indian fans frequently referred to the American musician as "Nick Jiju." In a recent interview with BBC Asian Network, Nick giggled when the reporter asked him whether she, too, could call him "jiju," a term used for brother-in-law in India. To this Nick replied, "A lot of people call me Jiju. We were just in Mumbai recently, my wife and I for the Cultural Center the Ambanis opened and it was a great event. All the photographers on the red carpet were calling me Jiju"
The host then made him listen to another clip from the red carpet, where one of the photographers can be heard saying, ‘Ae Nickua…’ Nick said, "Yes, I did hear that." He added, "It was very good to be back. I love India. It has been a couple of years since I’ve been there because of Covid, so this was a really fun trip. So yes, great to hear the many nicknames I have now."
Nick also mentioned how much he enjoyed Indian cuisine, saying that he preferred jalebis and samosas to gulab jamun and spring rolls. He revealed that despite being married to Priyanka for five years, her friends and relatives still ask him how much spice he can manage in his food. However, he claimed that pickles are too spicy for him, therefore he must avoid them.
In a previous interview with ABP Live as well Priyanka had shared that Nick loves Indian food and that they hold chaat parties at home.
Nick and Priyanka, meanwhile, recently made heads turn when they attended the Met Gala in style. The duo looked really gorgeous in their fashionable attire. They have been spending time with their daughter in New York after attending the great event.
Additionally, Priyanka recently made a short trip to Delhi to attend her sister Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha's engagement, while Nick later congratulated the pair on Instagram for getting engaged.
