New Delhi: The Mumbai Police is not only active in solving crimes but also on social media. Their official Twitter account is used for creating awareness amongst the public and to do so, the Mumbai Police takes references from different movies and TV shows.


In one of their recent tweets, the Mumbai Police created awareness about the rising cases of COVID-19 and urged people to wear masks even after double vaccination in their own way.  The Mumbai Police used the reference of Ranveer Singh’s upcoming movie ‘83’, which is based on the 1983 World Cup. Ranveer will play the role of Kapil Dev in this biopic.


Mumbai Police shared a tweet in which they can be using a dialogue from the trailer of ‘83’. They tweeted, “When you don't wear your mask inspite of '83' million reminders”. The dialogue which they selected in their tweet is ‘He doesn’t know defence’. Take a look at their tweet here:



Also, to create awareness on cyber security, Mumbai Police shared a tweet giving a reference of the popular American TV show ‘The Big Bang Theory’. They wrote in a tweet, “Scissors Cuts Paper. Paper Covers Rock. Birthdates as password gives your bank account shock. #CyberSecurity”.



Meanwhile, the makers of ‘83’ dropped the trailer a few days back. It gives a glimpse of the iconic catch of the world cup and features Ranveer playing the role of Kapil Dev and Deepika playing the role of his wife Romi Bhatia. Other actors include Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Bhasin, Hardy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Mohammed Zeeshan and others.
