New Delhi: Bollywood actor Vijay Raaz got arrested on November 2 (Monday) for allegedly molesting a woman crew member on the sets of the upcoming movie ‘Sherni’ starring Vidya Balan. The ‘Made In Heaven’ actor was arrested from Gondia, Maharashtra and then was released on bail a day after on November 3 (Tuesday).

Now, according to reports, the ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ actor has returned to Mumbai without completing his shoot for the upcoming movie ‘Sherni’. An Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) has been set up by producer Vikram Malhotra and director Amit Masurkar. Also, Vijay Raaz is not allowed on set keeping in mind the production house’s ‘zero-tolerance’ policy for workplace harassment.

A source told Mid-Day, “Vijay left for Mumbai on Tuesday after he was granted bail. He didn't even return to the hotel where he had been put up. The production head informed the crew on Wednesday that Vijay won't be resuming work. Though he had two scenes remaining, Vikram sir and Amit were certain that he should not be allowed on the set, in keeping with Abundantia Entertainment's zero-tolerance policy for workplace harassment.”

“The makers will decide on the punitive action against Raaz once the ICC ruling is out. For now, they have their eyes set on completing the shoot by the weekend”, added the source.

Vijay Raaz is popularly known for his comedy roles in ‘Run’, ‘Welcome’ and many other movies. The ‘Gully Boy’ actor also debuted as a director with the 2014 movie ‘Kya Dilli Kya Lahore’ which is a war film set in the backdrop of 1948, post India’s Independence war. Apart from the director himself, this film also stars Manu Rishi, Raj Zutshi and Vishwajeet Pradhan in pivotal roles.

On the professional front, Raaz was last seen in ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ and ‘Lootcase’. He will next be seen starring in Manoj Bajpayee and Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming movie ‘Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari’ and also in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ which stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role.
