VIDEO: Ranveer Singh’s controversial comments on Kareena & Anushka on ‘Koffee With Karan’ draw flak on social media

New Delhi: Karan Johar’s talk show ‘Koffee With Karan 6’ has been grabbing headlines for not so good reasons these days. Two Indian cricketers KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya made their debut on the show on the last episode of KWK 6 but they faced backlash from users on social media over the sexist and misogynistic comments on women. After the crickters, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has attracted the ire of the Twitterati for his explosive comments on Kareena Kapoor Khan and Anushka Sharma on KJo’s show. Old videos of the ‘Simmba’ actor have resurfaced on social media and Singh is receiving a lot of flak for his comments. Ranveer, who made his debut with ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’, made his first appearance ‘Koffee With Karan’ with Anushka Sharma. In one of the clips shared by a user, the ‘Gunday’ actor can be seen telling how he was floored by Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan’s beauty when she would come for swimming in a club. "I went from child to boy", Ranveer said in the video which is now going viral. In another video, Ranveer can be seen passing a comment which left Anushka completely shocked. The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actor told Sharma, “You want your ass pinched? I am right here.” Anushka was not too pleased with the comment and she hit Ranveer saying, “Don’t talk to me like that.” Fans have criticized Ranveer for his loose talks and asked him to apologize. The ‘Padmaavat’ actor is yet to issue a statement on the same. On the professional front, Ranveer will be next seen in Zoya Aktar’s ‘Gully Boy’. The film, which also stars Alia Bhatt, will hit the silver screens on February 14. Watch this space for more updates!
