Mumbai: Taapsee Pannu starrer 'Rashmi Rocket' has been making waves ever since the makers unveiled the trailer. The sports drama, which will premiere directly on a leading OTT platform, has been directed by Akash Khurana. The producers hosted a special screening for the film, which was attended by the likes of Vicky Kaushal, Sidharth Roy Kapoor and Sumeet Vyas.

The ‘Sardar Udam’ actor was all praises for Taapsee Pannu’s performance in ‘Rashmi Rocket’. He shared a post on his Instagram story to laud the entire team for delivering a solid product.
"Informative, emotional and impactful. This rocket launches and how! Congrats @taapsee @priyanshupainyuli @nowitsabhi @akvarious @rsvpmovies and team," Vicky wrote on his Instagram story.
Vicky and Taapsee worked in Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Manmarziyaan’, which also starred Abhishek Bachchan. The romantic drama released in 2018.
'Rashmi Rocket' Story
The film will focus on the story of a young girl, Rashmi, who is blessed with a gift. The Kutch girl is a fast runner and she dreams of representating India. While fulfilling her dreams, she realises that her race to the finish line is full of obstacles.
Rashmi has fight for her honour and identity after she is asked to undergo a gender test. The trailer of the film has received an amazing response from the audience. Movi buffs are quite excited for the flick as it is offering something new on the platter.

The much-awaited film also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Priyanshu Painyuli, Supriya Pathak, Supriya Pilgaonkar and Manoj Joshi in key roles. Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya have joined hands to produce the movie.
‘Rashmi Rocket’ will release on ZEE5 on October 15.
