Live your life on our own terms, do mistakes because that's how you write your own story, and this is the bottom line of 'Veere Di Wedding'. The makers have been saying that it's not a chick flick but I would call it that for all the right reasons. The movie celebrates sisterhood in the right spirit and kudos to the director for extracting the best out of the four ladies- Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. And cheers to the girls for their bang on performances.

Story: Kalindi (Kareena Kapoor Khan), Avni (Sonam Kapoor Ahuja), Sakshi (Swara Bhasker) and Meera (Shikha Talsania) are childhood friends. Kalindi is getting married to her boyfriend for three years, Rishabh (Sumeet Vyas) and that's how the four gal pals come together for their veere’s wedding. But wait that's not the movie is all about as the real drama starts now. The wedding celebration brings out the unspoken truths and some harsh realities that these girls have to deal with.

REVIEW: The movie is breaking the breaking the stereotypes, as we’ve rarely seen women on screen who are so uninhibited about their life, sexuality and desires. In that respect, ‘Veere Di Wedding’ is a brave effort indeed. This film will find an appeal with the younger generations who can relate to the discussions and dilemmas of these four veeres. Kareena as Kalindi is at the centre of 'Veere Di Wedding' and gradually other characters and their sagas unfold. Sonam, Swara and Shikha come around with their own set of problems.

ACTING: The movie is touted as Kareena Kapoor Khan's comeback movie who excels in her role as Kalindi Puri a girl trying to find her own answers and coming to terms with the idea of marriage. Shikha Talsania as the loud and spirited woman Meera who eloped from family to marry her firang boyfriend pulls off her role with ease. Swara Bhasker as a bold and brazen, rich brat is outstanding and adds the right amount of crazy to the ensemble. However, Sonam Kapoor disappoints and is the weakest out of the four. Sonam Kapoor as the girl desperately searching for love tries to give some cute and funny moments in the film but looks pretentious on screen.

Sumeet Vyas as Kareena's love interest looks great in the movie and does his part well, other supporting actors in the film like Manoj Pahwa and Vivek Mushran as Kareena's gay uncle looks good on screen.

The best part of  ‘Veere Di Wedding’ is the vibe that these veeres share and their conversational chemistry. They are like any four carefree girls who live their life in full spirit. There are many laugh-out-loud moments and some of the best dialogues are delivered effortlessly.

No wonder the movie is bold with many cuss words and A rated dialouges and so the business at box-office might get affected but overall 'Veere Di Wedding' is like a fresh breathe in the air and we have had enough of bromance filled movies 'Dil Chahta Hai', 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' this time the girls have taken over and you just can't afford to miss it.
