New Delhi: Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, last seen in ‘Super Dancer 3D’ opposite Shraddha Kapoor, penned a heartfelt post for his mother Karuna Dhawan on her birthday. The ‘Kalank’ actor, who is spending quality time with his family members these days, shared a picture with his mother and brother on social media. The shooting for all films, TV shows and ads were put on hold during the COVID-19 lockdown and Varun ensured that he spent his free time with his loved ones.


Calling his mother the’ strongest person’ he knows, Varun thanked her for everything in an emotional post. He can be seen sitting on his mother's lap in the photo.

“Happy bday ma. The strongest person I know. From making furniture, being a nursery teacher, taking us on bus rides for sports practise and making me take my first acting workshop and so much more u truly are the one,” the ‘October’ wrote in his caption. Check out the post!

Varun’s ‘Dilwale’ co-star Kriti Sanon wrote,” Happy birthday Aunty!!!! Pls wish her from my side,” while Shilpa commented, “Happy birthday Lally ma.”

Varun Dhawan, who will be next seen in ‘Coolie No.1’, shared a new poster of the film on Thursday. He gave a COVID-19 twist to the poster and was seen wearing a mask on his face. The 'Badlapur' actor promised to tickle the funny bone of the audience with his film.



'Coolie No.1', which is the remake of Govinda and Karisma Kapoor's film of the same name, was slated to hit the silver screens on May 1, 2020. However, it couldn't release on its scheduled date as the cinema halls were closed due to COVID-19 lockdown. The David Dhawan directorial also stars Sara Ali Khan.
