New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut recently donned the hat of a producer and announced earlier this year that she is all set to bankroll the upcoming movie ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’. The ‘Thalaivii’ actress, who is quite active on social media, revealed in her previous posts that the pre-production work of the movie has already begun. Kangana’s production house Manikarnika Films’ also welcomed Nawazuddin Siddiqui on board earlier this year who will be seen portraying the male lead in ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’.


While the name of the female lead in the movie was kept under wraps for a long time, Kangana has now finally disclosed that Avneet Kaur will be playing the titular character in ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ opposite the ‘Sacred Games’ actor.

In her latest Instagram posts, Kangana Ranaut revealed the first look poster of ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ and also shared a gist of the lead characters which will be played by Nawazuddin and Avneet in the movie.


Sharing the poster, Kangana Ranaut wrote on Instagram, “Receiving Padma Shri honour same day as beginning my journey as a producer is extremely special to me …Sharing with you all the first look of my first production venture under Manikarnika Films Pvt. Ltd …Tiku Weds Sheru…Here’s a piece of my heart Hope you all like Filming begins …See you soon in theatres first”.



The ‘Emergency’ actress introduced Nawazuddin and Avneet Kaur’s character in the film. While introducing ‘Sheru’ to the world, the actress wrote, “हम जब मिलते हैं, तो दिल से मिलते हैं , वरना ख़्वाबों में भी मुश्किल से मिलते हैं Meet Shiraz Khan Afghani urf Sheru” (Hum jab milte hai, toh dil se milte hai, warna khwabon mein bhi mushkil se milte hai). 



Here’s how Ranaut introduced Avneet’s character in the movie – “चलो तो चाँद तक , नहीं तो शाम तक Meet Tasleem Khan urf tiku” (Chalo toh chand tak, nahin toh shaam tak)". 



Meanwhile, speaking about her upcoming movies, Kangana Ranaut will be next seen featuring in a lead role in ‘Tejas’, ‘Dhaakad’, ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda’, ‘Emergency’ and ‘Sita: The Incarnation’.
