New Delhi: The release date of actor Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming film ‘The Great Indian Family’ was announced on Monday with an announcement video that gives a sneak peek into his madcap family. The film, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, is all set to release on September 22. 


The film is set in the heartland of India and revolves around the madness that ensues within Vicky's family due to some sudden developments that are beyond anyone's control.  


Vicky, who is riding high on the success of his last film 'Zara Hatke Zara Bachke', took to Instagram to share the first look of the film. He wrote, “Hum sab se milne aayiye apne poore parivaar ke saath on 22nd September only at your nearest cinema hall! ♥️🥰 Celebrate #TheGreatIndianFamily with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you!” 






The video shows Vicky talking about family and how everyone loves their families and then move on to speak about his family whom he considers as a snake. As he speaks further, one can hear the voices of his various family members. Watch the video here:



The film also stars Manushi Chhillar, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Sadiya Siddiqui, Alka Amin, Shrishti Dixit and Bhuvan Arora. 


Vicky has proven his acting chops through films like Uri, Masaan, Raazi, Sanju, Sardar Udham, Manmarziyaan, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, to name a few. 


On the work front, Vicky will next be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s 'Sam Bahadur', which is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw who was the Chief of the Army Staff during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971, and the first Indian Army officer to become Field Marshal. 


The film also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh.
