Parineeti Chopra starrer ‘The Girl On The Train’ premiered on Netflix on February 26. The mystery thriller film, which is the official adaptation of Paula Hawkins' novel of the same name, has received a good response from the audience. Movie buffs have lauded Parineeti for playing the role of alcoholic widow, who somehow gets embroiled into a murder investigation, with perfection.


The Ribhu Dasgupta directorial has managed to earn appreciation for the impeccable performances of the star cast including Parineeti Chopra, Adito Rao Hydari and Kirti Kulhari. Twitter users have lauded Parineeti for not playing the run-of-the-mill character and attempting something different.

Parineeti Chopra trended on social media after her new film premiered on Netflix. One user praised the 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar' actress for delivering a solid performance. Ahead of the release of 'TGOTT', Parineeti requested the fans to not 'ruin the hard work of the makers' by sharing spoilers on social media. "Please don't ley spoilers come in the way of this incredible journey," she said in a statement.



‘The Girl’ on the train was originally slated to hit the silver screens on May 8, 2020; however, it got delayed due to the COVID-19 crisis. Last month, the makers announced that the flick would premiere directly on the leading OTT platform.


Emily Blunt played the lead role in the Hollywood version of ‘The Girl On The Train’, which released in 2016.
