New Delhi: Salman Khan and director-producer Karan Johar have never collaborated on a feature film, despite their friendship. Even though Salman made a big appearance in Karan's directorial debut, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), the two never collaborated again after that. Nevertheless, their relationship has endured, and Salman has also appeared on Koffee with Karan.


Salman Khan and Karan Johar are now slated to work together again in a full-length picture called The Bull, which will be helmed by Shershaah director Vishnuvardhan and produced by Karan's Dharma Productions. The film star the 'Tiger 3' actor as the lead hero.


The Bull's crew released a statement claiming that Salman Khan will play a paramilitary officer in the true story-based movie. "The movie will depict the harrowing events of the terror attacks in Malé, Maldives, on November 3, 1988, locally referred to as Badi Buraasfathi or Gun [Explosive] Thursday.”


According to reports, Salman will start filming in February 2024. This will be his gift to the followers for Eid 2025. Before he joins the set, he will also go through a 60-day training and makeover programme.


As per Indian Express, “Salman Khan has allotted bulk dates to Karan Johar for this ambitious action thriller inspired by true events. He will be shooting for this film from February to August 2024, and the preparations to change his body structure have already started,” a source close to the development revealed.


“Karan and co wish to put up multiple sets in Mumbai costing a bomb as the idea is to recreate the era gone by with a proper art team rather than recreating them using VFX. The work on creating the costumes and uniforms is also in progress. They want to stay true to the aesthetics. The film is tentatively titled The Bull, and is based on one of the most heroic missions conducted by the Indian Army,” another source said.


Salman Khan has been riding high on success with his recently released him 'Tiger 3' that also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi.
