New Delhi: Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's film ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ is a Valentine's Day gift to the public, which arrived a week early on February 9, 2024. At the box office, the rom-com received mixed reviews. After a solid first day of ticket sales on Friday, ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ gathered pace on Saturday. Reportedly, on the second day of its theatrical release in India, the romantic comedy starring Shahid and Kriti touched Rs 9.5 crore nett. The earnings should have been bigger since it was a Saturday.

Sacnilk reports that early estimates indicate the film earned Rs 9.50 crore on day 2. Day one earnings for the film came in at Rs 6.7 crore, bringing the total to around 16.20 crore. On Saturday, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya's Hindi occupancy was 22.16 percent. Hence, the opening day of 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' was respectable, and the film continued to do well on its second day of release.

It is anticipated that the film will maintain its momentum in the days before Tuesday, Valentine's Day 2024.

Directed and written by Amit Joshi, the film follows a man's love for a robot. Old favourites Dimple Kapadia and Dharmendra also feature in ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’.

While some reviews thought the film was entertaining, others thought the concept of artificial intelligence was underdeveloped. However, the onscreen chemistry of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon is praised by everyone.

ABPLive review of the movie reads: "The film manages to leave a lasting impression and raises some pertinent questions, quite relevant in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) era. Remove a few of them and there would hardly be any significant change in what the film is about or what it wants to convey."
