New Delhi: Huma Qureshi and Sharib Hashmi starrer biopic on well-known chef Tarla Dalal has been in the news for quite some time. Now, Huma shared the official trailer of 'Tarla' on her social media handle and captioned it, "It's here !!! Life mein kuch karne ki khaas recipe aap bhi note kar lijiye. Trailer out now! #Tarla on #ZEE5, premiers 7th July." Huma Qureshi is playing the titular role in the film.
The two minute trailer shows the personal and professional journey of renowned chef Tarla Dalal. Huma Qureshi plays Tarla while Sharib Hashmi portrays the role of her husband. The trailer also gives a glimpse of how Tarla wants to do something in her life but takes a long time to do thanks to domestic duties of a mother and wife that begins to pursue her dream 12 years after her wedding.
Eventually, we see Tarla start her own cooking class and the Tarla's trailer gives a glimpse of her journey from being a home cook to being a professional one.
Speaking about bringing Tarla Dala's achievements on screen, Huma told ETimes, " Tarla Dala reminds me of my childhood. My mom had a copy of her book in the kitchen and would often try many of her recipes for my school tiffin. I also clearly remember the time when I helped mom make Tarla's homemade mango ice cream. This role has taken me back to those sweet childhood memories and I am very thankful to Ronnie, Ashwiny and Nitesh for having faith in me to play this awe-inspiring character. "
'Tarla' has been directed by Piyush Gupta and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Notesh Tiwari. 'Tarla' will begin streaming on ZEE5 from Juny 7 onwards.
