The tragic news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide has sent shock waves across the industry. The actor, who made his Bollywood debut with ‘Kai Po Che’, committed suicide by hanging himself at his apartment in Bandra on June 14. Pictures of Sushant’s sister and his former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande are going viral on social media.
Sushant’s father and sisters immersed his ashes in Ganga at Patna’s NIT ghat on Thursday (June 18).
Ankita shared a close bond with Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti and it is evident in their pictures.
Sushant shot to fame after playing the role of Manav opposite Ankita Lokhande in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Pavitra Rishta’. Sushant and Ankita were in a steady relationship for several years. They parted ways in 2016, leaving their fans surprised.
Shweta had shared a post on Facebook, revealing how her five-year-old son reacted to Sushant's death. She wrote, “When I told Nirvanh the news that Mamu is no more, he said “But he is alive in your heart” 3 times. When a 5 yr old can say something like that... think how strong we should all be.... Stay Strong everyone.... especially the fans of Sushant... please understand he lives in our hearts and he will always keep doing so....Please don’t do anything that can hurt his soul....Stay Strong! #LongliveSushant #Keeppraying.” She has locked her profile and the post is not visible now.
Shweta Singh Kirti had penned an emotional note for her brother on Facebook. Mera baby, mera Babu mera Bachcha is not physically present with us anymore and it is ok... I know u were in a lot of pain and I know u were a fighter and u were bravely fighting it. Sorry mera Sona... sorry for all the pain u had to go through...if I could I would hav taken all ur pain and given all my happiness to u, the post read.
