Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise in June 2020 left his family members, friends and fans in a state of shock. The ‘Pavitra Rishta’ actor, who made a successful transition from TV to cinema, passed away at the age of 34. The ‘Raabta’ star, who was not an avid social media user, shared his last Instagram post on June 3, 2020, 11 days before his death.
Sushant, known for his acting prowess, had dedicated a post to his late mother. He shared a collage photo of himself and his mom along with the caption, "Blurred past evaporating from teardrops, unending dreams carving an arc of smile and a fleeting life, negotiating between the two...Maa."
The caption will hit you hard as the 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' star left for his heavenly abode a few days after sharing the post.
Sushant Singh Rajput's last Instagram post has received over 55 lakh likes till date. His followers count increased to 13 million post his demise.
June 14, 2021 will mark the one-year death anniversary of Sushant. The ‘Chhichhore’ actor was found dead at his apartment in Mumbai in June 2020. Three Central agencies including the Narcotics Control Bureau, the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Enforcement Directorate are investigating his death case.
The NCB, which is probing the drugs angle in SSR's case, had arrested Rhea Chakraborty and her brother under the NDPS Act in September 2020. Ther Bombay High Court granted Rhea bail on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh in October while her brother Showik Chakraborty walked out of jail in December 2020.

Sushant’s last film ‘Dil Bechara’, which also marked the Bollywood debut of Sanjana Sanghi, premiered on July 24, 2020 on Disney+Hotstar. The Mukesh Chhabra directorial is the Hindi adaptation of John Green’s novel ‘The Fault In Our Stars’. The romantic drama received an amazing response upon it release on the leading OTT platform.
On a related note, the Delhi High Court on Thursday (June 10) dismissed Sushant’ father Mr KK Singh’s plea to stay the release of films and projects based on the late actor’s life. Mr. Singh had filed an application in the court, seeking a restraining order on the release of web series, films, books and other ventures depicting Sushant’s life in the form of a biopic or story.
