Sushant Singh Rajput's Friend Reveals Why He Feels Sara Ali Khan Was 'Pressurised' To BREAK-UP With 'Dil Bechara' Actor

Sushant Singh Rajput's friend Samuel Haokip claimed that Sara Ali Khan broke up with the actor after the poor performance of 'Sonchiriya' at the box office.

New Delhi: Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend Samuel Haokip set several tongues wagging when he claimed that the ‘Dil Bechara’ star and Sara Ali Khan were ‘totally in love’ during the promotions of ‘Kedarnath’ in 2018. Samuel shared a post on social media in which he said that Sushant and Sara were in love with each other during the promotional activities of the Abhishek Kapoor directorial.

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan made her Bollywood debut with ‘Kedarnath’ opposite Sushant. Their chemistry was appreciated by the fans and the film managed to perform well at the box office.

In his Instagram post, Samuel said that Sara had genuine respect for Sushant's friends, family and staff. He speculated whether Sara’s decision to part ways with Sushant after Sonchiriya’ release was due to the pressure by ‘Bollywood Mafia’. ‘Sonchiriya’, which released along with Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Luka Chuppi’, couldn’t set the cash registers jingling despite good reviews.

"I remember the time during Kedarnath promotions... Sushant and Sara were totally in love...they were inseparable... So pure and childlike innocence. They both had tremendous respect for each other which was so rare to see nowadays in relationships. Sara along with Sushant head genuine respect for everyone in Sushant's life...be it family, friends and even staff. I wonder whether Sara's decision to break up with Sushant right after Sonchiriya's box office performance was due to any pressure by the Bollywood Mafia," Samuel wrote.

Samuel, while talking to an entertainment portal, revealed why he felt that Sara was ‘pressurized’ to break up with Sushant. He said that he was not 100% sure about it and 'wondered' why the two decided to break-up despite having a ‘nice vibe to their relationship’. He further told the portal that the ‘Raabta’ actor didn’t share such personal instances with him.



"There are a few reasons why I feel that. Firstly, in a regular relationship, when you live with your friends and they go through a breakup, you know what kind of a situation your friends are in. I am not trying to make anything up. There is no agenda here. One day, the box office of Son Chiriya is released and then in a day or two, break up happened, then one day if you are shot with someone else, it is brutal on Sushant because it is double impact, (breakup and then the BO performance of the movie)," Samuel told Pinkvilla.

Sushant Singh Rajput was in a relationship with Rhea Chakraborty at the time of his death. The ‘Kai Po Che’ actor was found hanging at his apartment on June 14. His case took a new turn when his father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and others under various sections of the IPC including abetment to suicide.



The Supreme Court on Wednesday (August 20) ordered an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Sushant’s death case. The CBI officials have reached Mumbai to start their investigation.
