The investigation of his death case was transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) after his father lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and others. SSR's death case was earlier investigated by the Mumbai police.
After CBI started their investigating the case, they found the link of drugs related to Sushant's death and since then, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been probing the drugs case related to his death.
Last month, the NCB arrested Rajput's friend and flatmate Siddharth Pithani from Hyderabad in relation to the drugs case related to the 'Chhichhore' actor's death. The agency nabbed Pithani on May 26 and since then, Siddharth has been under judicial custody.
