Sushant Singh Rajput’s Family Lawyer Vikas Singh Alleges ‘The Drugs Given To SSR Were Not Prescribed’
Family lawyer of the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor reportedly said that when the family mentioned in the FIR that SSR was over-drugged, they thought it was prescription drugs. Read on.
New Delhi: Sushant Singh Rajput's death case took a major turn when the late actor’s father lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty in money laundering case and the abetment of his son’s suicide among others. Currently, the CBI is investigating the case and many shocking revelations are coming to the limelight with the ongoing probe. The ‘drug chats’ of Rhea Chakraborty with her friends were recently revealed and while speaking about the same to a news channel, SSR’s family lawyer Vikas Singh said that the drugs given to the late actor were not prescribed.

Vikas Singh, while speaking to Times Now, said, “When FIR was filed, we were under the impression that he’s been over-drugged. And when we mentioned ‘over-drugged’ we thought it was a prescription drug. It looks like these are not prescription drugs. These are hard and banned drugs.” He added that “If this was being done then the matter is really very serious because the family’s contention right from the beginning has been that there was an attempt to control the mind of Sushant Singh Rajput and for that purpose, all this was being done.”
“But, now as disclosed by some reports that it was a banned drug. If it's a banned drug then it will lead to abetment to suicide and murder. There'll be a Narcotics Control Bureau issue too. Scope of proceedings will widen substantially”, added SSR’s family lawyer.

Elaborating on his statement, he further said, “Sushant was a very healthy person and used to do his workouts. He was a very positive person and had lots of plan for the future.” The advocate also revealed that probably drugging Rajput was the method used by the accused to control such kind of a person.
Vikas Singh concluded by saying that, “It is quite obvious that what was done to Sushant was definitely highly illegal and highly criminal. These drugs were being used to either control him, calm him down or make him docile. That is what the servants also say, that he used to be sleeping on the ground floor. He had a duplex, sixth floor and seventh floor. He used to be sleeping on one floor and there were parties going on on the other floor. Rhea used to be having a party and Sushant used to be sleeping on the other floor. So, there was definitely an element of actual drugging. Not drugging in the sense that we had said in the FIR, but actual drugging. It means that he was administered something contrary to his will, without his knowledge, and the purpose of that drugging was to subdue him, make him docile or to affect his mind very badly. That is ultimately what led to his death.”
Meanwhile, the CBI will reportedly visit the Cooper Hospital on August 26-27 with an appointment as the team was earlier denied entry without one.
