Sushant Singh Rajput breathed his last on June 14, 2020. Though the actor was found hanging in is Bandra apartment, some Bollywood celebrities and his fans have been requesting for a CBI probe as they are sensing some foul play. Now, after a long wait, the Supreme Court has finally accepted the request for CBI probe in the death case. Based on reports, the Centre has also said that the involvement of Rhea Chakraborty should be investigated.

Earlier, Rhea had filed a petition in the Supreme Court requesting for the transfer of the case to Mumbai from Patna after the late actor’s father filed an FIR against her in Patna Police Station. However, reportedly, the Apex Court after hearing the plea today has denied to grant protection to the ‘Jalebi’ actress. Based on reports of Republic, the Supreme Court has also asked Mumbai Police to file a detailed report of their investigation on Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The SC has granted three days’ time to the Mumbai Police and the matter will be taken up by the Supreme Court again next week.

Reportedly, Supreme Court judge Justice Roy ahs also shed light upon the late actor’s family’s concern about evidence tempering and stated that it will also be taken care of. The judge further questioned the quarantining of the IPS officer from Patna who came to Mumbai a few days back for SSR’s death case investigation.
