Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: Bihar Counsel Claims ‘There Was Political Pressure On Mumbai Police To Not Investigate The Case’

Amidst the ongoing Supreme Court hearing of Rhea Chakraborty’s first petition, Bihar Counsel counters the actress’ lawyer saying there’s pressure from the Maharashtra government. Read on.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has initiated the hearing of Rhea Chakraborty’s first petition seeking the transfer of the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput from Patna Police to Mumbai Police. Based on reports, the ‘Jalebi’ actress’ counsel said that as the incident took place in Mumbai, therefore, Patna Police has nothing to do with the case. The counsel also alleged SSR’s father of using his influential relatives to set Rhea up. According to a report of a leading news channel, the ‘Chhichhore’ actor’s counsel contradicted the actress’ lawyer by saying that there has been no political pressure from Bihar rather it is coming from Maharashtra. According to a report based on Republic TV, “Bihar government's counsel advocate Maninder Singh told the SC that there was political pressure on the Mumbai police to not investigate the case of Sushant Singh Rajput. He also pointed out that the SP of police (from Bihar) was put in detention in the name of quarantine by the BMC and that it was a matter of sadness and pain that the IPS officer was not released immediately even after the Supreme Court had asked them to do so.” ALSO READ| Sushant Singh Rajput’s Mumbai-Based Sister Mitu Singh Reaches ED Office To Record Statement Mahinder Singh also debated on the fact that how the Mumbai Police carried on with the investigation without lodging an FIR. Another report from the same channel states, “In the financial year 2017-18, Rhea’s gross earning is around Rs 18 lakh and it continues to remain the same in the financial year 2018-19 as well.
