The on-going Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, took a surprise turn on Tuesday, when it was revealed that the late actor’s father has filed an FIR against his Rhea Chakraborty and six others, including her family members, accusing them of abetting the actor's suicide.

Sushant’s 74-year-old father Krishna Kumar Singh had maintained a stoic silence ever since the tragic death of his 34-year-old son on June 14. But on Sunday he lodged an FIR at Rajiv Nagar’s police station in Patna, following which 4 officials of Patna Police left for Mumbai to join the probe.

Now, Ms Chkraborty is left with two legal options- either she will file an anticipatory bail or she can counter in court that two FIRs can’t be filed in the same case. Already an FIR has been filed against the actress in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case before the late actor’s father filed one on Sunday.

According to reports, she is likely to apply for interim bail on Wednesday. Rhea's lawyer Satish Maneshinde has signed the relevant papers for anticipatory bail on Tuesday night after his junior lawyer Anandini Fernandes was spotted leaving Rhea's residence in Mumbai.

If sources are to be believed then, Sushant’s family is unhappy about the narrative of the late actor suffering from depression and about the course of the investigation by Mumbai Police in the case.

Sushant’s family reportedly said that they had no knowledge of him suffering from depression or any other psychological problem.
