The Narcotics Control Bureau is grilling Rahila Furniturewala and Karan Sajnani as part of its investigation in the alleged Bollywood drugs nexus. The NCB, which is probing the drugs angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, arrested the two for allegedly possessing drugs last month. The federal agency arrested the ‘Raabta’ actor’s friend Rishikesh Pawar on February 2.

Karan Sajnani and Rahila Furniturewala is the former manager of Bollywood actress Dia Mirza while Karan is a British businessman. The NCB seized 200 kg drugs from Sajnani while arresting him. The two are currently under judicial custody. The drugs law enforcement agency is questioning the duo after their names surfaced during the investigation in Sushant’s death case. The NCB is currently investigating four people in SSR’s 16/20 case- Karan, Rahila, Rishikesh and Jagtap.
According to NCB sources, Rishikesh supplied drugs to Sushant through hi cook Dipesh Sawant. Pawar, who worked as an assistant director for Sushant’s dream project, provided him narcotics substance during the COVID-19 lockdown. The agency had seized several drug related photos from Pawar’s laptop.
Sushant had asked Rishikesh to leave his dream project owning to his poor behavior. The actor was found dead at his apartment on June 14, 2020. His father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, her family members and others under various sections of the IPC including abetment to suicide.
Three Central agencies including the CBI, the ED and the NCB are investigating Sushant’s death case.
The NCB had arrested Rhea and her brother Showik in a drugs case linked to Sushant’s death case. The Bombay High Court granted bail to the ‘Chehre’ actress on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh in October 2020. She stayed behind the bars in Mumbai’s Byculla jail for close to a month.
