The third installment of Bollywood's comedic blockbuster 'Hera Pheri' will reportedly be released soon. In the midst of the speculations surrounding the movie and its cast, a recent revelation has upset the fans.
Speaking at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, Akshay Kumar announced that he had pulled out of the third movie.
“The film was offered to me but I was not satisfied with the script. I have to do what people want to see. That is why I backed out. I took a step behind. It is a part of my life and journey for me. I am also very sad that I can't do it. But I am not happy with how the creative things have shaped out,” the actor said.
It's difficult for fans to envision 'Hera Pheri 3' without the original cast, which consists of Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, and Akshay Kumar. Even one of the cast members, Suniel Shetty, expressed surprise when informed that Akshay Kumar will no longer be appearing in the upcoming movie.
“Everything was on track, but I don’t know what happened suddenly [that] Akshay is not a part of it anymore. Once I am [done with] Dharavi Bank promotions, I will sit with Firoz and understand why and how this happened. Akshay, Paresh and I had committed to the movie, and this twist has stunned me,” Shetty told Mid-day.
The actor further stated that 'Hera Pheri 3' will not be the same without Akshay and stated that he would be keen to see if everything could still work out. "Raju, Babu bhaiyya and Shyam are iconic characters whose journeys have been together. There’s palpable excitement when you mention the film. I want to see if things can still fall in place,” he added.
The main character of 'Hera Pheri', actor Paresh Rawal, recently announced on Twitter that Kartik Aaryan has joined the cast of 'Hera Pheri 3'.
