The late actor Irrfan Khan's son, Babil Khan, will make his acting debut in the film 'Qala'. On Tuesday, the first trailer for the upcoming movie, starring Triptii Dimri and Babil Khan, the son of Irrfan Khan, was released by the makers. 


The debutant discussed the talented actor and what it's like to carry on the legacy of his late father during the event. Khan said that he wanted to experiment with everything and work on a variety of films and roles.


"There is a lot of pressure. Two years ago, when we were shooting, at that time also the pressure was there. It would affect me, it would scare me but now it motivates me to do better work. The definition of pressure has changed now," Babil Khan said.


During the premiere of his movie's trailer, Babil was asked about the traits of Irrfan Khan he would like to have as he begins his journey. "Mere father ki jo khubiya thi woh leke chale gaye. Ab mein apni khubiya explore karunga (The traits that belonged to my father went with him. I'm going to explore my strengths now)," he responded. 


Irrfan Khan, Babil's father, was a brilliant actor of Hindi cinema who played a wide range of roles during the span of his acting career. The actor passed away in 2020 at the age of 54, two years after being diagnosed with having a rare type of cancer.


'Qala' is the tale of a young playback singer of the same name that takes place in the late 1930s and early 1940s. The storyline of the film is focused on Qala's dark history and how it eventually eventually caught up with her, forcing her to fall apart just as she is reaching the pinnacle of her hard-won achievement.


The singer Qala, played by Triptii, showed her talent in the trailer, is at the peak of her reputation. Her relationship with her mother, who is portrayed by Swastika Mukherjee, and her personal life are putting her career at risk. While everything is happening, Babil Khan is introduced as Jagan, Qala's new rival.
