Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 8: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's horror-comedy broke the 400 crore record globally.
New Delhi: Featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the horror-comedy ‘Stree 2’ has become the greatest Hindi success of the year and is still going strong at the box office. After more than a week of successful theatrical runs, the film, directed by Amar Kaushik, has finally entered Rs 400 crore club. Early estimates by trade tracker Sacnilk put ‘Stree 2's nett domestic collection at 290.85 crores, including an amazing Rs 16 crore earned on its eighth day.
‘Stree 2’ has broken records as the fastest Bollywood film to reach the Rs 400 crore milestone globally, surpassing receipts of ‘Jawan’, ‘Animal’, ‘Pathaan’, and ‘Gadar 2’. The film earned a total of 401 crore rupees worldwide, with 289.6 crore rupees coming from the local market, according to Maddock Films.

With an overall Hindi occupancy of 27.62 percent, the film's performance on its seventh day was quite notable. The occupancy rate in the Delhi-NCR area hit 32% of the total showings, while it was 28.75% in Mumbai, where the film was playing in more than 1,180 theatres. These numbers are impressive for a weekday, which bodes well for the weekend earnings potential of the picture.
Shraddha Kapoor's 2019 film ‘Saaho’ grossed Rs 310.60 crore across all languages, but her new flick ‘Stree 2’ has surpassed it to become her highest-grossing film to date.
Apart from Nag Ashwin's epic drama ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which has earned more than Rs 1,100 crore, ‘Stree 2’ is now the second highest-grossing Indian film of 2024.
The film’s ensemble cast includes Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee along with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.
