Bollywood filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, who earlier said that he had signed Sushant for ‘Hate Story’, has now made a shocking claim on social media. He has alleged that Rhea Chakraborty is ‘just a façade’ in Sushant’s case and ‘Mumbai Police and Maharashtra government are protecting very powerful people’.
Without taking names, the ‘Chocolate’ director said that a ‘star’ threatened Sushant that he would finish his career after the ‘Raabta’ actor had an argument with the star’s protégé.
"Trivia: Once, in a farm house, SSR had an argument with a Star protege whom the star had launched. The star lost his temper and threatened SSR that he would finish his career like he did with others. Rhea is just a facade. MuM Pol & Mah Govt is protecting very powerful people," Agnihotri tweeted.
Sushant’s death has re-ignited debates on topics like nepotism, favoritism and insider vs outsider in Hindi film industry. Several fans have slammed Bollywood biggies including Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra for neglecting Sushant’s work and not giving him due recognition for his performances in films like ‘Chhichhore’ and ‘Kedarnath’.
Tinsel town celebs like Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and Sonam Kapoor disabled their comments section on Instagram after they received massive trolling. The prevailing practice of nepotism in Bollywood has been heavily criticized on different social media platforms.
